EPK in ATL

Thankfully, the 2021 film scene in Atlanta has bounced back from 2020. While we don’t work in film, per se, we’ve been getting called to do EPK/BTS of some of the movies being shot in town! EPK stands for “electronic press kit”, which is pretty much interviews with the actors and director as well as b-roll of them hanging out on set and behind the scenes of actual scenes happening. There’s so much happening and so many different jobs on a film set, it’s really interesting to watch things unfold on a much larger scale than what we normally work on. My friend was the media manager on the film and actually helped us get the job!

On day 1, we shot in small town outside Atlanta. We ran some interviews in a nice courtyard. We got some really good bts before the heavens opened up and soaked everything. Our stuff was still set up in the courtyard so we had to scramble to get it inside before I had to file an insurance claim.

Day 2, we were at a big, old farm house shooting some exterior scenes. We set up our interview space in the upstairs of the house (of course there was no A/C). I shot some bts of the scenes there. We got a really nice sunset that made for some great shots. Most importantly, I found a cool cowboy hat.
