NHL on TNT

Turner (WarnerMedia) recently got the rights to NHL. You’d think I’d know more about hockey being from NY and going to a hockey school, but I don’t. I played volleyball and tennis. ANYWAY, we were called into the studio to do some interviews for a segment and had to match a previous look. We did a couple layers of background (Black, lights, clear) to get the “ice” look. Lit with a nanlite 300 on a softbox and did some tubes for edge lights. I think we got pretty darn close to the original.

We talked to all the desk guys about their move to TNT, the league, standout players. Yes, of course I knew Wayne Gretzky. After the interviews, we dumped footage to the servers and packed up!
