Esports Emmy Nomination

Last year we spent a week in Newark, NJ with ELeague covering the Rocket League World Championship. We were producing a multi-episode doc piece following the journey of 11 teams from around the world. We set up specialty hero shots, interviews, coverage and lots of cool b-roll. Once we finished our shoot, the good people at ELeague put together some amazing episodes.

The work our team put in was top tier, so much so we ended up getting nominated for the first ever esports category for the Sports Emmy Awards! We don’t get to see a lot of recognition and it’s so, so cool to see all the hard work we put in is being seen on the big stage!

The Fortnite World Cup also made the list. We had followed one of the teams, 100 Thieves, for weeks as they were planted in a house outside of Atlanta. One of the Duos teams we were following, ended up coming in third!

Very excited for the future of esports, fingers crossed for an Emmy!
