New Truck!
After 4 years of working out of the Ridgeline, it was time. Time to upgrade to an actual vehicle meant to carry thousands of pounds of gear. We’ve upgraded to a Nissan nv2500 v8 and it has SOOO much room. So much so that I dubbed it “The Void” as I just keep throwing gear in there and it fits, or disappears. Of course Dave and I had to get matching trucks ( I copied him) so when we roll up we are #twinning.
I got pretty inspired by a lot of van life people that pop up on my social feeds. While I don’t want to live in it, there was a lot of good, useful information for making this less of a work truck and more of a comfortable, quieter ride. Things like putting up sound dampening material, insulating the crevices, cielings, windows. I also installed a switch for accessories, a super rad ceiling with lights and a skull saver (big ol’ piece of wood keeping gear in the back). We’ve already put 4,000 miles on it from Daytona up to Indianapolis - here’s to some more adventures!
